Greetings,
Thank you for reaching out to the Health Justice Commons. We're so glad to hear from you! We are a small, majority member-driven group, and we receive many emails. We will do our best to be in touch with you as soon as possible.
If you are interested in getting involved with our launch of the US's 1st Medical Abuse Hotline:
Please mark your calendar and join us SUNDAY, January 26th, 1-3 pm PT/ 4 - 6 pm ET, Ready To Launch National Online Gathering via Zoom! This is a planning session for the #MedicalAbuseHotline and a great opportunity to meet the Health Justice Commons community. We’ll wrap up the meeting by announcing next steps and inviting folks to take on action items and join one of our crews (working groups) to make the hotline a reality!
We're seeking new members for our Movement Building and Communications crew, especially for graphic artists and social media specialists, crucial means of connecting with our disabled, crip, and chronically ill communities. If you are interested in joining this team, please send information about yourself and a resume (or, information about your gifts and skills if you don't have a resume) to Mordecai at: healthjusticecommons@gmail.com. Please put 'Social Media' in the subject line.
If you want to join our upcoming course or become an intern with the Health Justice Commons:
SAVE THE DATE: WEDNESDAY, February 26th, running for 6 weeks, 5:30 - 7:30 pm PT/ 8:30 - 10:30 pm ET.
Understanding and Transforming the Medical Industrial Complex, Part 2. Sessions are online via Zoom with live closed captioning and are recorded for all participants! If you'd like more information or an enrollment form reply to this email with 'Course!' in the subject line. You do not need to have taken Part 1 to take Part 2!
If you are seeking a internship with mentorship and the option for course credit, we are currently seeking a Movement Building and Communication Intern, and a Resources and Resilience Intern. For more information and to apply, send information about yourself and a resume (or, information about your gifts and skills if you don't have a resume) to Mordecai at: healthjusticecommons@gmail.com. Please put 'Internship!' in the subject line.
